- On-site
- Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland
Job description
We are looking for a VP of Finance / Head of Finance who will drive fiscal discipline across the company and help transform Microamp into a more business-driven, financially robust, and scalable organization. This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role at the center of the company. You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team to turn growth strategy into sustainable execution, build financial discipline, improve cross-functional predictability, and ensure the company capital structure can scale effectively across customers, manufacturing lines, R&D grants and international geographies.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving, deep-tech environments and can combine strong corporate finance leadership with sharp commercial awareness, rigorous forecasting, and a fundraising mindset (Series A & B). You should be equally comfortable solving immediate cash-flow or working capital issues, building internal financial systems, driving accountability across department budgets, and helping leadership focus the organization on the highest business-impact priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Investor Relations (Series A & B)
Capital Raising Execution: Co-lead the upcoming Series A process alongside the CEO, taking full ownership of the financial framework and investor Data Room.
Due Diligence Ownership: Manage the financial, tax, and legal due diligence processes driven by incoming institutional funds.
VC Network Expansion: Proactively build and maintain strategic relationships with international Tier-1/Tier-2 Venture Capital funds for subsequent Series B financing.
Strategic FP&A & Corporate Finance
Financial Strategy & Modeling: Translate the company’s 5G roadmap into robust corporate financial models, short- and long-term forecasts, and scenario analyses.
Board & Executive Reporting: Synthesize monthly financial performance and KPI metrics into strategic, high-level recommendations for the Board of Directors and Advisors.
Commercial Support: Partner with Sales and Product teams to optimize international pricing models and the profitability of large-scale Enterprise contracts.
Hardware Economics & Working Capital
COGS & Margin Optimization: Deeply analyze the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) structure to drive gross margin optimization and scale-up efficiency for series production.
Liquidity & Supply Chain Finance: Strategically manage cash flow cycles, inventory financing, and high upfront Capital Expenditures (CapEx) tied to global component procurement.
Alternative Funding: Evaluate and secure non-dilutive debt instruments (e.g., Venture Debt, working capital facilities) to fund hardware manufacturing.
Non-Dilutive Funding & Global Governance
Grant Management & Compliance: Optimize the strategic utilization and rigorous financial reporting of large-scale national and EU R&D grants to complement equity funding.
Global Compliance & Taxes: Oversee international corporate structures, transfer pricing, and global tax/accounting compliance in collaboration with external partners.
Department Scaling: Assume full accountability for the finance function, with a clear strategy to build, mentor, and scale the internal team post-funding.
Job requirements
Extensive Professional Experience: Minimum 8–10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, including at least 5 years in an executive or high-level leadership capacity (e.g., CFO, Head of Finance, VP of Finance) within a capital-intensive technology sector (Hardware, Deep Tech, Telecoms, Aerospace or Advanced Manufacturing).
Proven Fundraising Track Record: A demonstrated history of successfully leading or co-leading venture capital-raising processes through Series A and Series B, or executing complex international M&A transactions on the company side. Active relationships with international Tier-1/Tier-2 VC funds are a significant advantage.
Hardware & Enterprise CAPEX Economics: Deep expertise in physical product scaling, manufacturing cost structures (COGS), and gross margin optimization. Proven understanding of long B&B/Enterprise sales cycles, deployment-heavy business models, and high upfront Capital Expenditure (CapEx) management.
Strategic Capital Structure Mastery: Exceptional grasp of balancing equity-based venture capital with sophisticated debt structures, working capital facilities, and substantial non-dilutive funding (large-scale national and EU R&D grants).
Executive Leadership & Team Building: Proven capability to operate at the Board level, partner effectively with Founders, and strategically build, mentor, and scale an internal finance department from the ground up as the company grows.
Analytical & Commercial Vision: Exceptional commercial acumen with a track record of translating complex financial data, forecasting, and macro-trends into actionable board-level corporate strategies that drive global expansion.
Education & Credentials: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional global certifications are highly preferred.
Flawless Language Skills: Full professional proficiency and executive presence in English (C1/C2 level), with absolute confidence in leading high-stakes negotiations and board presentations with international institutional investors.
