We are looking for an experienced Hardware Team Lead to join our growing team and contribute to the implementation of functionalities for the 5G and 5G mmWave Radio Units and other future products.



Responsibilities

  • Leading an interdisciplinary team designing electronic solutions in the field of mmWave RF.
  • Participating in the development of optimal quality and cost-effective solutions for electronic and RF modules in collaboration with the 5G device architect, and translating them into a task list for the team.
  • Setting goals and priorities for the team, assigning tasks, monitoring progress and timeliness, promptly addressing issues, ensuring the achievement of key project parameters, and closely collaborating with management.
  • Collaborating with other departments, including embedded software and FPGA engineering teams, mechanical designers, and external entities to ensure project integrity and compliance, as well as timely delivery of new functionalities and devices.
  • Overseeing PCB orders and the electronic module production process.
  • Forward-thinking - planning necessary tests, required software functionalities to launch the module for specific readiness levels, or equipment purchases necessary for testing and module launch.
  • Supervising the process of creating and updating technical documentation, creating precise test plans for individual modules and manufactured devices, as well as overseeing the quality control process for prototypes and mass production.
  • Ensuring project compliance with technical requirements, industry standards (3GPP, ETSI, EMC standards, etc.), as well as quality standards, safety standards, and cybersecurity standards within the company.
  • Monitoring trends and new technologies in PCB design and mmWave 5G technologies, MIMO, Beamforming, as well as pre-compliance and compliance RF testing, CE, RED, etc., to continuously improve processes, products, and minimize risks.
  • Developing talents within the team through internal training and support in professional development.

Job requirements

  • At least bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications/Computer science or related scientific field,
  • At least 5 years of experience as Hardware Team Lead or a related position,
  • Experience in setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and managing project timelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware design and RF performance.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management, from concept development to mass production.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with advancements in PCB design, RF technology, and industry best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Altium Designer or similar PCB design software.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a cross-functional team.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good English skills (spoken and written).


Good to have

  • Experience in mmWave or Sub-6 5G RAN, RF communication systems, Software-defined radio, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with O-RAN architecture, specifications, interfaces and protocols.
  • Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS, Siwave, CST Microwave Studio, Keysight ADS, or similar.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity principles and techniques for high-speed PCB design.
  • Understanding of antenna design principles and integration into PCB layouts.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Python or MATLAB for data analysis and automation.
  • Certification or training in project management methodologies such as Agile or Six Sigma.
